Home & Studio Newborn Photography Sessions
Newborn photography sessions can be booked for studio shoots, or shot on location. In terms of the style of photos you can expect, my natural flow is shooting lifestyle photography, which means it’s real-life photos with minimal staging however, we also do encourage props, gorgeous dress-ups, close-ups, and take shots from various angles.
What types of Newborn Photographs can we do?
There are two types to know about. Lifestyle photoshoots and studio sessions.
We can do photos solo stills with your newborn and we can do a family photoshoot, brothers, sisters, even the family pet.
In a studio, we’ll arrange soft pastel props and we will create a calming environment…
or in the case of us bringing our lifestyle photography expertize to you, we’ll bring an eye for detail to capture the most emotive still life photographs of your newborn.
By combining our maternity photoshoots, we can create an entire collection of photos taken by me as your in-house photographer.
It’s common for soon-to-be parents to use the services of a Toronto pregnancy photographer for documenting the pregnancy.
Having baby bump photoshoots of mom, dad, and bump, and possibly at scenic locations such as silhouette bump photoshoots taken at the beach at sunset. By combining our maternity photoshoots, we can create an entire collection of photos taken by me as your in-house Toronto pregnancy photographer.
Think of the combo pack as your before and after childbirth package. I take, create, and bundle together photos of newborns into a special celebratory commencement package of your newborn and maternity photos.
When should I book my Newborn Photography sessoin?
In Toronto, newborn photography sessions are best booked well in advance. Why? Because newborn photography is best done really soon after birth. within the first 2 weeks, ideally within 7-10 days.
If you want to capture the earliest memories of specific poses, we’d recommend booking our Newborn Photography service when your baby is 7 to 10 days old. That’s the age that you’ll be able to capture their earliest poses, snuggled up in blankies, and in the cutest of newborn curls.
How Long Does a Newborn Photography Session Last?
This depends on where we shoot your session. Throughout Toronto, newborn photography sessions can be done in a studio, or at the family home.
In-studio photography sessions in newborn photography slots are typically 4 hours to allow time for nursing, feeding, and nurturing to ensure a stress-free environment for babies and parents. Much longer than our Toronto pregnancy photographer package has allocated for a bump photoshoot, which averages up to 90 minutes.
Operating across Toronto, newborn photography sessions are available in packages. We offer different packages ranging from half days to full days, ensuring special bonding photos are taken in the most relaxed states.
