About Us
Hello and warm greetings from Melike
It’s such an absolute pleasure to be able to virtually introduce myself to you.
It’s my hope that after this brief intro, we’ll be able to discuss your ideas and transform those into wondrous memories that’ll be cherished by family, and friends, and shared with long-distance relatives in the future generations to come.
Growing up in Istanbul, Turkey, I was surrounded by beautiful picturesque landmarks and areas of outstanding beauty (that lack that official classification).
I was in awe to witness the absolute delight on the faces of tourists. They appeared to be mesmerized as they gazed at what I had around me throughout my childhood. Those experiences seemed to naturally draw me into the world of Art!
It should come as no surprise that many years later, photography took over my LIFE!
Now residing in the wondrous city of Toronto, I find myself living among pure beauty. With a camera in tow, there’s always something worthy of being captured by the lens.
Gorgeous landmarks, glamorous shopping malls, and floral gardens that change by the season (yet always have some flowers in bloom).
And who could forget the absolutely epic skyscrapers with cloud-reaching heights, (for corporate photography, Toronto is destined for an even bigger tower that’ll dominate the skyline – The One)!
On their own, they’re spectacles to wonder. As a backdrop, they’re an astounding gift to the people of Toronto.
"The Best Thing about Being a Photographer in Toronto is the Variety of Scenery"
Drawn to the combined beauty of people with nature as backdrops of spectacular beauty, I knew I had found something deep, with a spiritual-like connection that could be described as soul-awakening.
I’ve always known that art was in my nature. I just never knew the magical moments that could be done with something as simple (and taken for granted) as a camera.
I mean, in school, I was that girl who would stand on the table and sing to a crowd of 1,000+ students.
Without shame!
As a photographer in Toronto, it’s that abundance of energy and appreciation for the arts that helps me capture the true authentic nature of the people I’m blessed to capture in photos.
Some of my treasured moments as a photographer in Toronto include capturing…
Couples appearing to romantically dance beneath the stars, Family portraits with pets basking in the golden sands of Torontos’ beaches, People surrendering their love to each other, beautifully encapsulated in photos.
For engagement photographers in Toronto landscapes are truly bewildering. Ultimately creating memories that’ll tell love stories through the generations.
Photography is art, and it’s a visual art of storytelling. Telling, through pictures, the journeys of people as individuals, as couples, as complete family units.
With maternity photo sessions, I love seeing and capturing the amazing bond being created between moms and baby bumps, and fathers kissing the bump.
The stories I learned during the initial newborn photography shoot to those babies’ upbringing from their first birthday party and onward. It truly is beautiful!
As a photographer in Toronto, I feel blessed, and sort of like extended family because one thing I’ve learned is that I have a natural ability to listen emphatically. To hear, to help, to understand the emotions people want their pictures to convey.
How I became a Photographer
Just a short couple of years back, I took the leap to dive much deeper into the realms of photography, to forge more powerful shoots…
Learning how to take better pictures, the role of the lens (and the variety of them), learn the post-production processes used by the pros… with the end goal being to do what I do better.
When I first started offering free photos to family and friends, I was overjoyed by the reactions. Seeing with my own eyes, people feel empowered for the first time since childhood (would you agree that we adults seem to find a way to only see the flaws)?
Seeing recipients of my photos FALL IN LOVE with themselves is empowering, and enlightening.
My goal is to have your great-grandchildren looking at your family photos smiling from ear to ear.
To be a photographer in Toronto is something I’m truly appreciative of. I take my responsibility to clients and their families seriously, because, this, for me, is much more than family portrait photography. I see my service as providing empowerment sessions. Not just photoshoots.
KIND WORDS
Had an awesome experience with Robert and Melike! They made the whole process enjoyable and fun. Love the different poses they suggested.
